Christy Knudson is a Cinematographer and 1st AC based out of Los Angeles, California. She was born in raised in Walnut Creek, CA and studied at Santa Barbara City College before moving to Los Angeles to further pursue a career in film production.
Where The Sand Meets The Sea
Christy’s journey as a filmmaker is encapsulated in her first film, Where The Sand Meets The Sea. As the writer, director, director of photography, editor, and colorist of this film, she pushed myself as a filmmaker in all aspects to tell a story of familial love and sacrifice, set in a post apocalyptic desert wasteland.
Soft Premieres
At the SBCC Film awards, WTSMTS was able to take home “Best Editing”, “Best Cinematography”, and “Outstanding Achievement” awards for her directoral debute film.
Following that, at UCSB’s Reel Loud, a 7-minute no dialogue cut was premiered. WTSMTS won “Best Music”, “Best Actor”, and “The Scott Wells Golden Reel Award”.
